Injuries and New Arrivals

Hi all,

Once again it’s been a while since I posted.  Unfortunately I’ve been off sick from work for the last 2 weeks.

I was hit by a sniper during a game of indoor 5-a-sides, I managed to stretch my ligament in my ankle, my god it was sore and still is.  Check out the photo graphic evidence.

Life has been boring at home and I’ve been driving Estelle crazy.  I took my first baby steps a couple of days ago but I’m still in a lot of pain.  I’ll probably to off work next week also.

Samuel is doing great every time we are on the phone he wants to join in the conversation.  He has some Eczema at the moment but it doesn’t seem to be bothering him which is promising.

On Thursday morning my good friend Frank became a Father for the 1st time, a bouncing baby boy called Jake Francis Phinn, see the pics for the hairiest baby in the world.

So of course we had to go out last night to celebrate this great event, a drink or three was consumed by all.

Today we visited the new arrival and he is a very active and awake baby, congratulations to Claire and Frank, a Job well done.

This weekend Thomas and Kath are coming to visit, I’m really looking for to having some quality company for a few days, lets hope the weather holds out for them, if not we will need to destroy my wine Cellar and drink all the beer in my new “Beer” fridge.

Keep in touch all and I’ll see you soon.

The Weekend

Hi Sports Fans,

Once again the weekend passed by so quickly that I feel like I just left work.  Every minute of the weekend is now busy and there are few moments when you can completely relax, but you get used to it.

Friday it was my Sister in law Mylene's Birthday she is 18 again, well 23.  It was a family get together at the family Vincentz hoose.  Even Granddaddy Vincentz was there.

It was the first time that we had tried to have a normal night with Samuel, of course all didn't go to plan.  It was relatively uninterrupted but what do you expect.  I didn't have time to have that nice glow about me that I usually have after leaving the outlaws as I always seem to drink twice as much wine as everyone else, me NEVER.

Saturday was shopping in the morning then off to the photographer to pick up some nice pictures of Samuel.  We then had some visitors in the after noon, Patrick and Lei Starck and there 18 month daughter, it was a pleasant visit but they are going to China with Novartis at the end of the year so we won't see them for much longer.

In the evening we managed to watch "Walk The Line" it was an excellent film enjoyed by Estelle and I, now have all his songs on MP3, Quality.

Today was an early rise, 5:55am (well actually 5:15am coz someone wanted fed) to watch the Australian Grand Prix, it was a chaotic race and DC managed to finish 8th somehow, once again his car looks like it has no pace.  I'm starting to wonder if these Ferrari engines are any good.

After the F1 I slept a bit more then whipped up Bacon, Eggs, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Sausages for Estelle and I Samuel decided to have Milk just for a change.

We then went for a walk to check out some nice houses as that will be the next thing on our shopping list near the end of the year, there is always something.

In the Afternoon we watch Hearts vs Hibs in the SFA cup Semi Final online, cost £5 for the Sky Sports coverage, it was excellent quality and never dropped once.

After that we fed ourselves and Estelle pumped some of her milk into a bottle, I then had the pleasure of giving Samuel his first bottle, boy how good did that feel.  It seems so simple but made my weekend.

It's amazing how much I can write for an uneventful weekend.

After the week of work I am off for one week, so we are going to Lake Constance for 2 nights this will be our first wee journey with Samuel, how will it go nobody knows.

Anyway keep in touch.

A walk in the Park

Hi all,

In the latest photo's you can see a typical weekend day for Estelle and I, a walk along the Rhine showing off our great pram followed by some nature spotting, I think it was a water rat or something but it was HUGE.  Then a spot of lunch French style.

Samuel's hair was a mess that day so we took some precautions.

Thanks to Kevin, Samuel got his first Kilt, he looked great in it, now if someone asks you what does a Scotsman wear under his kilt you can say a Nappy.

Stay cool.

Pic's of Sam and Winter in Huningue

Hi all,

I've added some more pictures of the wee man so you can see how he is getting on.  Estelle and I are going from one good day to one tough day.  But it's all worth it.

See these pictures in the "More Pics of Sammy" photo album.

To see what we woke up to this morning in Huningue check out the "Winter Wonderland" photo album.

Huningue seems like a different planet for the moment, it’s amazing the things you see when you go for a walk there are some real idiots in the world; I wouldn't go out in our 4x4 but Mr Ford Fiesta in my Street thought it was a great idea and managed to get stuck of course.

Also a big thanks to our neighbour for clearing the snow from his path and throwing it onto ours......we love our neighbours.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Speak to you soon.

Samuel Stevenson

Hi all,

As you know by now Samuel was born at 04:30 on 21st Feb 2006.  Therefore today is officially his 1 week birthday.

So far everything has been going very well with Mother and son performing very well.  Estelle has been great and is doing super so far with all the new challenges that are facing her.

Sam is sleeping most of the time but that is pretty normal for a wee one of his age.  He sometimes even forgets to wake up to eat so we need to bring him out of his coma.  He seems to be enjoying what Estelle has to offer and I can see his point .

I've been off work for the last 2 days but these days just seem to have merged into 1 as the wee one has to be fed every 4 hours so night and day is always interrupted by Samuel, which is a pleasure.

Estelle and I are both overjoyed but I just want to say that Estelle has been so strong and I love her more and more as each days passes.  Women are amazing creatures in more ways than I ever imagined.

I'll keep you all updated with Samuel's progress.

Love to you all.
